YOU How Your Dog or Cat Should Be Groomed?

Want your Pet to be Groomed by People that

Your Pet Will Actually Enjoy Going to the
Groomer and May Not Want to Leave!
Dear Savvy Pet Owner,

It's a whole new world out there.  Technology is changing at the speed of light, and the internet gives you more freedom to be a super savvy consumer. However, the grooming industry has turned off their hearing aids and insist that THEY do it THEIR WAY... for THEIR convenience.  Now wait a second, aren't you the consumer?

You worry about your shaking pet as you drag it to the groomer, wondering what is going on behind the closed doors you are not allowed to pass through.....  Your dog is not kennel trained.......your dog or cat is terrified of loud noises....

But you just know your dog must be put in a hard metal box surrounded by the chaotic and ear piercing sound of force dryers, anxiously barking dogs, and screaming cats.

Missing out on knowing what other options you have,
you feel trapped and have to take THEIR word for it.

You don't know how your pet is handling their 4 to 8 hour day at the groomer. You don't know if they are given water, taken potty, or even how long they are locked in a cold metal cage,
let alone how HOT DOES THE CAGE DRYER GET.....  Is it as hot as being inside of a car on a 100 degree day for an hour or so??  ......without a drink of water??

You have not had any other options until now

If you want to discover the experience that your pet will be having? Then, this is the place for you...
If you do not believe that your pet deserves:
*gentle handling
*cage free grooming
*hugs & kisses

Hello,

My name is Sarah and I own Happy Tails Dog Wash & Day Spa.  I grew up in Battle Ground, Washington and graduated from Prairie High School.  I come from a close knit family with my parents and siblings living a couple of miles away from me.

I'm still a small town girl

Even though Vancouver and Portland has grown exponentially over the last few years, I'm still a small town girl.  I enjoy people and I enjoy getting to know them and kissing their pets. I'm a social bug, I admit it.

Professionally, I worked as a nurse (a smidge more than 1/3 of my life) until 2008.  I had a tremendous amount of fun with the nurses, doctors, and the patients that I worked with.

It's a fantastic feeling being able to brighten someone's day.

When I purchased Happy Tails in 2006, I was thrown for a loop at the lack of professionalism in the grooming industry.  I'm used to bending over backwards for people, and was in amazement at how customers didn't argue too much when they didn't get what they wanted.

Early in my ownership, I remember one lady who came in a few times.  She brought pictures and written instructions that she carefully went over with the groomer.  I thought the customer did a good job explaining what she wanted. Apparently the groomer wasn't interested in "getting it."  When the customer picked up her dog, I remember her saying each time, "I can fix it at home."
That makes me really sad when I remember this.

I went through a lot of groomers who didn't get it.

June of 2008 was when I finally got frustrated with groomers that didn't seem interested in making my customers happy and decided enough is enough.  I put my foot down and vowed to NEVER hire another groomer EVER again.

I decided that I will personally groom all of the dogs, and train all of my employees to MY expectations.  For anyone who knows me, I make everything seem like rocket science.  I am a detail oriented person that is determined to give 300%.

To be the best in my industry I searched out the best in the local area and national grooming champions to study under.  As a result, I hear over and over again that I am the best.  (feels weird to say, but honestly that's what I'm hearing)

To maintain our status as the best, my team and I constantly step back and ask ourselves, "How can we make life better for our customers and their pets?" I always appreciate positive feedback, but grow the most from negative feedback.
